Our commitment

dekormaison should be usable by everyone, regardless of impairments of sight, hearing, motor skills or perception. We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA and the European standard EN 301 549. This page describes what we do to achieve this, where the limits are and how you can report barriers to us.

What we offer

dekormaison.com is an online shop for cornices, skirting boards, wall moldings, wall panels, decorative elements and accessories by the manufacturer Orac Decor. You can view and compare products, order samples, create a customer account, place and pay for orders, and send enquiries via the contact form and the business customer form. Cart, checkout and payment run on the Shopify platform.

How to order

Select a product via the menu, the search or a category page.
Choose the quantity and add the product to the cart. From 10 pieces the volume discount applies automatically.
Go to checkout, enter your address and payment method, review the order and submit it. A customer account is not required.
You will receive an order confirmation by e-mail and, once the order has shipped, a notification with tracking.

What we do for accessibility

The pages can be operated by keyboard, the focus is visible, and a skip link leads directly to the content.
The pages can be zoomed freely on mobile and desktop.
Body text and labels reach a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1.
Product images and graphics have alternative text, form fields have visible labels, and required fields are marked.
Headings are structured hierarchically, tables have column headers, and content is available in six languages.
The ordering process runs through the Shopify checkout, which Shopify tests against WCAG 2.2 AA.

Known limitations

Technical data sheets and installation instructions from the manufacturer Orac Decor are provided as PDF files and have not been checked for accessibility by us. On request we provide the information by phone or e-mail.
Embedded videos are hosted on YouTube. Subtitles can be switched on in the player where available.
Third-party content such as the Trusted Shops review profile, the Tree-Nation badge and the pages of payment providers is outside our control.

In Germany, the authority responsible for the accessibility of products and services under the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (German Accessibility Act) is the Marktüberwachungsstelle der Länder für die Barrierefreiheit von Produkten und Dienstleistungen (MLBF), Carl-Miller-Straße 6, 39112 Magdeburg, Germany.
